Professor Tadeusz Pieńkowski MD, Ph.D.

Professor Tadeusz Pienkowski graduated from the medical faculty at the Medical University in Warsaw. Right after he joined the faculty at the Cancer Center in Warsaw. In 1993 he graduated with PhD and in 1995 became the head of the Breast Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery Department in the Cancer Center in Warsaw. This department meets the criteria of Breast Cancer Unit according to the international guidelines. In 2004 he passed state board examination in clinical oncology and in 2010 became professor of clinical oncology. In 2011 he became the head of the Oncology Department at the Medical Center of Postgraduate Education, next for three years he was the Medical Director at the Radom Oncology Center.

Professor Pienkowski is member of the Cancer International Research Group and Michael Angelo Foundation. His research interest and activities concentrate on systemic treatment of breast cancer. He participated in several clinical trials conducted according to the ICH GCP. Professor Pienkowski is chairmen of Polish Society for Breast Cancer Research and Treatment and President of International Senologic Society.
