President of the Polish Lung Disease Society, Director of the 2nd Lung Disease Clinic of the Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Institute in Warsaw
Graduate of the 1st Medical Faculty of the Warsaw Medical Academy. From the beginning of his professional activity, he was associated with the Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Institute in Warsaw. Between 1991 and 1994, he had an academic scholarship with Meakins-Christie Labs at McGill University. In 2002, he was awarded the title of a professor of medicine. He gained professional specializations in internal diseases, pneumology and allergology. He is the co-author of over 200 original works in breathing physiopathology, COPD and breathing disorders during sleep. Member of a number of domestic and international scientific societies, including a former membership of the ERS School Committee and current membership of the GOLD Assembly. Between 2010 and 2018, deputy president and currently the president of the Polish Lung Disease Society.
