Minister of Health
From November 2016, he was the Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Graduate in medical studies from the Medical University of Warsaw. Afterwards he started working for the Institute of Cardiology in Warsaw-Anin. In 2002, he obtained the degree of doctor of medical sciences and, in 2010, the post-doctorate degree in medical sciences. From 2011, he managed the specialist team of life sciences at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. He was awarded the title of professor by the President Andrzej Duda in 2016.
He managed the Heart Rhythm Disorder Clinic at the Institute of Cardiology in Warsaw where he was a member of the Scientific Council for many years. He held numerous functions in European and Polish scientific societies. Member of the European and Polish Society of Cardiology.
He cooperated with the Kresy w Potrzebie Foundation – Polacy Polakom (Kresy in Need – Poles to Poles), helping Polish citizens left outside eastern borders, in particular children from Grodno and Volkovysk. He also cooperated with the Heart for Arrhythmia Foundation promoting knowledge for patients and doctors in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmia and with the Heart of Arrhythmia Patients Association.
Married, with four children. In his free time, engaged in sailing and skiing. He also plays the piano and guitar.
